Happy Days are here again...

Last week I had a bit of a dip which was followed by a moan on my Facebook group. The reason was that my godfather (he & his wife are my 'adopted parents' since my parents died over a decade ago) is battling with cancer and had a bad day. Unfortunately a lady from the Press and Journal called just minutes after I received a worrying email from my 'auntie mum' and I although I tried to report very positively to this friendly journalist I think I missed a trick there and with that an opportunity for more much needed press coverage.... DOH!
It is true that the most frustrating thing of organising this is the lack of information I receive at times and this year I find it even harder because of all the things going on in the rest of my life but I was wrong, very wrong, to be negative and I do apologise profoundly.
There IS a lot of GREAT STUFF stuff to report here; so I am reminding myself and you of that right here, right now.. :-)
Sharon at La Fiaba was sooo quick to come back to me this year with details of her contribution in sunny Tuscany, Charlie Madeley has submitted details of her ride too (Girls, I 'heart' you) and Robinsons Equestrian confirmed their carboot sale on Saturday 15 September.
That's not all folks; there will be On Horses For Horse Posters at the Blair Trials (in the secretary tent) and World Horse Welfare will put some information up on their stand at Burleigh. With so many horse lovers visiting these events this may bring in some more 'last minute' enthusiasts wanting to make a difference for horses while having fun...
On top of that I have already raised £51 in cash raised in donations and I only just started, Christine McPhee has put the word out for a ride near Oban, today I recruited 2 more riders for my ride in Glencoe with the promise that if Shela Ann can't make it she will do her own ride along the canal from Fort William.
And to top it off - Via Hay-net I have been informed today that Martine 'Wanderlywagons' is also on board with a rather unique idea. She recently organised an event of which a friend took pictures. Rather than selling these pictures she advertised On Horses For Horses (which is already a good thing!) and will send a photo to people who made a donation to World Horse Welfare via On Horses For Horses....
I know more people are still in the planning stages and more activities WILL materialise so I am determined to kick myself up the backside if I have another dip again and I promise to remain firmly positive.....
Happy days are here again :-) LETS DO THIS!!
