People took part in 12 countries.

2011 was the first year for ON HORSES FOR HORSES and it was originally planned as a one-off event. Well, I changed my mind and in 2012 we will pick up where we left off and I invite you to join us (again?).

The aim is to reach a combined 24906 miles (the circumference of the earth) - riding around the globe - raising as much money as possible for the well being of horses world wide.

Wherever you are, join us to help a UK based charity which dedicates time and money to improve the welfare of horses around the globe.

Let's make September the month to go On Horses for Horses, do what you enjoy doing AND make a difference for a horse not lucky enough to have you to care for it. Rather than all of us riding on the same day, as we did in 2011,

I invite you to organise an event, or just ride out alone, at any time in the month of September 2012 for this worthy cause.

Whether you want to organise an Endurance ride, a fun hack out alone or with friends, a Le Trec event, a fancy dress ride or a clear round competition, whatever it is, seek sponsor ship, ask donations, and be part of a world wide fun event to make a difference where it is needed for our equine friends.
